Never fried, deep fried, coated in something, beer-battered, etc. Also, as is the case at 99% of restaurants except really fancy ones, they will give you way too much. So either ask that they just give you half the food and wrap up the other half when you order, or if you don’t feel comfortable with that, get an extra plate and when the food arrives unload all but the appropriate serving size onto the other plate. Note: while buffets are all you can eat, that doesn’t mean you should. To make you feel like you’re getting more, bring one food back to the table at a time so you get to go back to the buffet multiple times. Either that, or go through the buffet once. When you are done eating, pile your napkin and silverware on top of your plate.
